If the corresponding [CH1] button is chosen on the controller, the camera will respond immediately to the Pan, Tilt and Zoom operations controlled by the joystick of the CON300-IP (In addition, the Zoom Rocker Button can be used at the same time, and the joystick button sends the camera to its HOME position)

3b. Connect and control an Avonic PTZ camera over IP (VISCA OVER IP):

Be sure that the current protocol is "Visca Over IP" as reconfirmed on the LCD panel below. If not, toggle the NET button.

Visca Over IP mode

Here, the addressing is done via IP, the Visca address in a visca over ip environment is always 1.

First, connect the LAN port of the controller with a network cable to the camera RJ45/LAN Ethernet port or to a switch in case to have to control several cameras.

First step would be to assign an IP address to the CON300-IP  (Press the [MENU] button, Select ‘Ethernet’ tab, choose DHCP or enter a specific IP address available in the network, a Subnet mask (usually 255.255.255.0) and optionally a Gateway. Don't forget to reboot the controller for the changes to take effect!).

Once the controller ethernet settings configured, you can now assign an IP camera to the Avonic CON300-IP (Press the [MENU] button, choose the 'Visca over IP' tab, then "Add new Customer Address", enter compatibility mode "Standard", transport protocol "TCP", port number "1259" and the IP address of the camera).

Close the menu (by pressing few times the [MENU] button or by pushing few times the joystick on the left).

Press the [ADDR] button on the left side of the controller to list all the cameras on the LCD display,

with the joystick (UP/DOWN) choose the camera that you wish to control . As example:
