All CM4x, CM7x, and CM9x cameras come with an IR Remote Control, allowing full control of the camera and access to the On-Screen Display (OSD) menu.
IR Remote Control Functions
a. Power
1. Press the Power button to turn on the camera. If preset '0' is stored, it will activate after initialization.
2. Press the Power button again to turn the camera off, activating the "privacy mode."
b. Set
This button has no function with this camera model.
c. Camera Select
Up to four different cameras can be controlled with a single IR Remote Control!
At the top of the IR remote, there are four camera select buttons [1, 2, 3, 4] to choose the IR channel of the camera you wish to control. Pressing any function button will cause the corresponding camera select button (1, 2, 3, or 4) to flash quickly.
The default camera IR channel is 1.
To control multiple cameras:
- First, turn off the other cameras in the room to prevent accidental changes.
- Select camera 1 on the remote control, as the camera is initially set to listen to IR channel 1.
- Press [*] + [#] + [F2] to change the camera's IR channel to 2. The camera will confirm this on the screen.
- Select camera 2 on the remote to control the newly configured camera.
d. Number Keys
The number keys are used to activate presets.
Press a number [0-9] corresponding to the desired preset, and the camera will adjust accordingly (see section 'h' on setting and clearing presets).

f. Auto/Manual Focus
Set the camera to 'Auto Focus' or 'Manual Focus'.
If the camera is set to 'Auto Focus,' the [Focus +] and [Focus –] buttons are disabled.
If the camera is in 'Manual Focus' mode, you can use the [+] and [–] buttons to adjust focus. However, using the Zoom buttons will automatically switch the camera back to 'Auto Focus.'
g. Zoom + -

A preset is a specific camera position saved in the camera, assigned to numbers 0-9.
