Getting Started
The MJPEG snapshot function of Avonic IP cameras allows you to obtain a still image that can be integrated into third-party applications or monitoring systems. Each time the page is refreshed, a new snapshot is generated. To avoid connection issues, ensure the following:
- Verify that the camera is correctly connected to the network and powered on before requesting snapshots.
- Use the correct camera IP address and verify it is reachable within your network subnet.
- Confirm that the firmware version corresponds with the correct snapshot URL format.
MJPEG Snapshot Function
The Avonic CM7x-IP cameras are equipped with an MJPEG snapshot feature. This allows integration into third-party software for monitoring or automation purposes. Each time the browser page is refreshed, the image will update with a new snapshot from the camera.
Accessing the Snapshot URL
To obtain the MJPEG snapshot, use the following URL format, replacing "ip-address" with the actual IP address of your camera:
http://ip-address/img/capjpg/snapshot.jpg
Special Case: CM40-IP (Discontinued)
For CM40-IP cameras (discontinued), the snapshot URL depends on the installed firmware version:
- Up to firmware 2.4.5: http://ip-address/snapshot.jpg
- Starting from firmware 2.4.6: http://ip-address/img/capjpg/snapshot.jpg
