Prerequisites:
- a CM93 camera
- an active LC90-1 tracking license
1. Navigate to Tracking mode
Open the webinterface of the camera using an incognito browser window and navigate to the 'Tracking' tab. Select the Presenter mode.
2. Set stage tracking limits
Set the Upper Left and Lower Right limits to define the maximum pan and tilt movement of the camera. Setting these limits defines your tracking area, the camera will not track beyond the set boundaries. If you make a mistake and would like to do it again, the limits can also be cleared.
WARNING - A small UI bug may cause the limit buttons to not activate properly. Switching tabs will resolve the issue.
3. Define the tracking shot.
The Presenter Tracking mode can make use of three different compositions; close-up, mid-shot or a wide shot.
Close-up:
Mid-Shot:
Wide Shot:
4. Configure the default tracking pick-up or fall back position
The Presenter mode can have a defined default position to return to when the tracked person is lost or when nobody has been in the presenting area for a while. This position has been defined at camera internal preset 200. You can define this position to be a the desk of a teacher for example, where he would start his class. If nobody is seen or a target is lost, the camera will return to that position and wait for a person to enter the field of view again.
5. Turn the tracking on
The last step is to turn the tracking ON and check the set stage limits, shot composition and pick-up position.
The possibility to turn the tracking ON and OFF is also available via HTTP API, the commands can be found in this separate article
