Introduction

This document explains the firmware releases done for specific Avonic camera models. It contains different release versions that correspond with the versions mentioned in the Webgui. In this document is described what is new to the firmware of the camera and what changes are made to that firmware. There is also a history of the firmware changes started with the (date) of the latest release and followed by older ones.

The new firmware itself can be found at the Camera product page on the Avonic website.

Changes:

• Solved recognition bug when plugging and unplugging the USB numerous times. 

• Change Autofocus strategy (See Update 19-01-2022) 

• Change in DHCP recognition timeout, solved the problem where the WebGUI would show different IP address than the IP address the camera is actually using. 

• Updated the ONVIF implementation, continuous movement functions now supported (PTZ-3-1-4-v 14.12 PTZ CONTINUOUS MOVE, PTZ-3-1-5-v15.06 PTZ CONTINUOUS MOVE & STOP) (See Update 19-01-2022) 

• Made small change in behavior for one-push autofocus mode. 

• When flashing the firmware, the led on the front will flash, indicating that a fw flash is in progress. 

• Added HTTP basic authentication. 

• Made some textual changes in the WebGUI. 

• Fixed an issue where the focus would shift when going back and forth between presets. 

• Fixed a bug where the tally light would function without active license. 

• Fixed an incorrect answer on byte 5 and 6 to Visca block enquiry 8x 09 7E 7E 01 FF

Changes:

• Solution for freezing focus on CM70-series after being in the dark for a longer period of time. 

• Fix for an issue where the camera would not be recognized by a computer after numerous times plugging in and out of USB. 

• Autofocus strategies and algorithms updated.  

• Solved an issue where the WebGUI would not reflect the correct DHCP IP-address of the camera. 

• Updated the ONVIF implementation, continuous movement functions now supported (PTZ-3-1-4-v 14.12 PTZ CONTINUOUS MOVE, PTZ-3-1-5-v15.06 PTZ CONTINUOUS MOVE & STOP). 

• Created future readiness to FTP batch update. 

• Created visual feedback (flashing red tally light) when flashing both parts of the firmware. 

• Fixed an issue where the camera would not send back a Completion answer 90 51 FF to one push focus trigger 81 01 04 18 01 FF 

• Fixed an issue where the camera would not be able to put out video over USB using H.264 or H.265, only MJPEG.

Changes:

• Fixed the camera’s response to RTSP/ONVIF commands SET_PARAMETER and OPTION. 

• IR enable/disable option: Another added security feature. Although government should be transparent, it sometimes is better to have some privacy in order to avoid any safety risks. Because IR commandos are easy to emulate people with bad intentions can take over camera control. With a large zoom capacity of our cameras and clear image, the option disable IR is a very welcome feature.

Changes:

• Enable/Disable PTZ control over NDI: This new firmware update is to provide added security to your NDI stream. Disabling the PTZ control makes it possible to share the NDI stream with third parties like journalists without giving them the option to control the cameras.
