To give a demonstration or to troubleshoot the VoiceTracker, you can use Bitfocus Companion. For this, you’ll need the Companion software, the configuration file provided by Avonic, and optionally, the physical Stream Deck button panel.
What you need:
The Companion software
The Voice Tracker configuration file (
Voice Tracker.companionconfig
) provided by Avonic(Optional) a Elgato-Stream Deck for physical button control.
Getting started:
Download and install Companion
You can download the Companion software (265MB) from the official Bitfocus website:
https://bitfocus.io/companionDownload the configuration file
The configuration file (Voice Tracker.companionconfig) can be found at the bottom of this page.
Once installed, you can import the configuration (yellow button) and follow the on-screen instructions.
Check the Connections tab and the Buttons tab to make sure the import was successful.
On the left, you'll see the 'Web Buttons' tab. When you click it, a new web page will open displaying the buttons you can work with when the configuration is done.
Configuring for VoiceTracker:
Now that the basic setup is complete, the next step is to update the IP addresses to ensure Companion communicates correctly with your VoiceTracker.
Under each button, you’ll find two IP addresses displayed on the right side of your screen. You need to change these to match the IP address of your VoiceTracker. Click on a button and your can change the IP's in the press action part and release action part.
Once this is done, you can start using it to control or diagnose the VoiceTracker system.
Alternatively, if you plug in the Stream Deck via USB, you can use the physical buttons to operate it.
Companion needs some time to establish the connection.
If you see a green triangle, it means Companion is currently busy.
PS.:
Companion operates on network port 8000.
When using Companion, all users will be disconnected from the web GUI, as only one device can access the HTTP API at a time.
Enjoy!
