Specifying a specific device name to be displayed in the OSD can be useful when using multiple cameras on the same LAN. The Device-ID is always 1 (addressing is done via IP). The language cannot be changed. Click SAVE to apply your settings. A small confirmation dialogue appears in the bottom right corner.

The ONVIF protocol does NOT accept spaces in the camera name.

Preview (LOCAL)

In this tab, you can see a preview of the camera’s IP video output.

Next to the preview you see:

  • PTZ keys to move the camera and Focus keys (Focus keys work only when Focus is set to Manual). Adjust PTZ speed using the slider below the PTZ keys.
  • Click the Audio icon to activate audio (connect a cable to the balanced audio input). Remember to enable “Audio Enable” in the Audio tab.
    • Stream icon: click to switch between Main and Sub stream; click again to return to the Main stream.
    • Full icon: click to enter full screen; press ESC to return to the Preview.
  • Top navigation: the main tabs to access different WebGUI pages.

A picture is shown ONLY if the Main video stream is set to H.264.

image freezing

Before freezing the image, ensure the audio is turned off if you are using it during streaming. Freezing the image can produce a paused audio output on the IP stream, causing audio stutter. When video resumes, stutter can occur; setting the iFrame value to 4–5 per second is usually quick enough to counteract video stutter.

  • Check the network cable.
  • Ensure the computer is connected to the same subnet as the camera.
  • Use an Incognito/Private browser window (cache issues may occur when using multiple cameras with the same default IP address).
  • Reset the factory default IP settings by pressing [*] [#] [Manual] and then reboot.

Configure the Camera

Settings can be changed via the WebGUI or On-Screen Display (OSD). Default settings work well automatically, but manual tuning may improve image quality depending on your setup.
